Last week was the annual elementary spelling bee.  Students in grades 1-6 compete in class for several weeks before each class is narrowed down to the top 3 contestants.  The top contestants from each class then compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

FBA seniors recently visited the State Capitol in Indianapolis and served as pages in the State Legislature.  During their visit, they had an audience with Governor Mike Pence (pictured below) and Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann.

During the past month, academy students in grades 3-12 visited the Musuem of Science and Industry in Chicago, the largest science museum in the Western hemisphere.
